Håfaloha, everyone! As you know, once a month, our amazing workers vote for one another to see who will get the honor of being chosen our Employee of the Month. And in a small business, y’all knew this was bound to happen — someone just got chosen for the SECOND time! For a second time, the winner is Kami!
Kami last won the Employee of the Month title 16 months ago, in November 2021! You can read about that here. As always, our employees vote for someone because of the qualities they see in them. Here’s what our workers tell us they see in Kami that caused them to vote for her.
Kami is a great leader. In fact, we’re always entrusting her with more because she is loyal, and worth that trust. Those 16 months ago, in that very blog post that we just linked to, we surprised her with a promotion to Front of House (FOH) Manager. Well, she still is our FOH manager, and she fulfills that role SO well. She always goes the extra mile to ensure all her FOH duties (and more) are done. With Kami in charge, we know she will take the lead and make sure everything that needs to get done is done, both in a timely manner, but also done correctly. We know that when Kami is on, the shop is taken care of. But it’s not just the shop — she also makes sure the crew is taken care of. What does that look like?
Kami is a team player and has the most amazing, friendly relationship with her coworkers. She’s considerate toward everyone, and she works well with everyone. She’s always in a good mood. If you work at Håfaloha and you’re having a bad day, you can expect that when you come into work and Kami is on shift, her good mood and positivity will rub off on you, making you feel happy and bright. 🌞 Also, Kami is always willing to lend a helping hand to others who need it. In fact, she is so willing to help others, that she often comes in on days when she is not scheduled, just to offer a boost to her comrades if they are struggling during an extra-busy shift. They know that all they need to do is text her, and if she’s available, she’ll be there.
On top of all this, Kami is great with customers. And they love her in return, too. But whenever we have a customer who is unhappy for some reason, Kami is the perfect person for them to interact with, because she does her best to be as accommodating as possible. Now that’s customer service!
As always, when we award our Employees of the Month, it’s more than just a title; we actually do give them practical gifts they like. This month, we’ve given Kami a $75 Outback Steakhouse gift card 🥩🥔, a $50 gift card to online shopping site Shein 🛍, and a $25 gift card applicable to sweet, sweet gasoline ⛽️. (Not as sweet as Kami herself!)
Kami, thank you so much for all you do, but especially for being such a deep part of our lives. You know how much we love you! ❤️ Keep up the amazing job, girl!!
